OK this is a silly post, but I must tell. This morning I was driving along happily and felt something on my neck – the feeling you get when you think there’s some kind of bug crawling on you. Well I reached up to feel something that felt like a scab. I grabbed it, starting to panic a bit, looked at it and realized it was a tick. Yes, a disgusting little tick. I know many of you may not think anything of these little creatures, but I think they are so gross! Keep in mind this is while I’m driving (just when I needed a red light, and it didn’t come!). So there it sat on the door while I scrambled for a paper and smashed the heck out of it. Goodbye tick. Thank you for not giving me lyme disease. After I stopped I actually snapped a picture before I got rid of the little bugger, but I can’t seem to get it off of my phone right now.
Don't worry
I would be just as freaked out as you were, but there is some good news. The ticks that can give you lyme disease are deer ticks (the ones that are the size of a pin head). The kind that you found would not give you lyme disease... although you could get a bacterial infection...
I know they are so nasty! I
I know they are so nasty! I found one climbing up my shirt after we went to the park one day I about freaked out! Then I proceeded to search my kids and husbands for ticks! NASTY!
EEEEeeewww...Just last week
EEEEeeewww...Just last week something like that happened to me. I was actually stopped at a light so I decided to open my middle console and put lotion on my hands real quick and an earwig came crawling out right as the light turned green. It almost made me wreck. I grabbed a tissue and held it tight in my hand the whole way home and once I was parked I called Jeff who was in the apt. to come take it away cause I wasn't sure if it was dead or not! Ugh.
