4 Months

I can’t believe how Wyatt has grown.  It is of course bittersweet.  I love this boy so very much.  Time is just flying by but I’m grateful that in our house time isn’t measured in minutes it’s measured by giggles, smiles, meals together, naptimes, vacations, bathtimes, diaper changes, prayers, new words, baby burps, loads of laundry, storytimes, walks together and the list goes on and on.  What a blessed life we live – my heart is full of gratitude every day.  Even those days with tears, tantrums, belly aches and runny noses – it’s all worth it as every parent knows.

Harry

Like how he has only one glove and one shoe on?

Such sweet boys!

Michigan

Adam, Meghan, and baby Steven are like family for us, and luckily they live just 4 hours north!  Our trip in a nutshell:

Outlet mall

Gymboree corduroy spree for the boys

Le Creuset - “Don’t touch” is spoken here!  Love their stuff, though!

A few kitchen stores…so fun.  Especially the taste test of sweet peppermint dip.

Then this beautiful sight:

Tony’s Restaurant

1 lb of bacon

Awesome fresh bread

Maybe not enough tomatoes and lettuce to balance out this BLT!  Dave was incredibly thirsty the whole day.  It is fun to have someone in our family that will take on a food challenge!!

The picture of Harry shows how he ate all the skin off the chicken wing and left the meat – he knows the good stuff.  It gave us a good laugh!

I liked the steak sandwich – HEAVEN!

PS don’t think about the calories in a pound of bacon.

Checked out Meghan’s parent’s land – pretty sweet pond!

Even with a chill in the air, we still tried the canoe.

It was a thrill!

Harry was scared at first then embraced the awesomeness of the canoe.  He LOOOOOVED being in the with us!

Broken record:  “A BOAT!”  “A WATER!”  “A DADDY!”  “A MAMA!”

Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland!!

Their motto:  "Enjoy CHRISTmas, It's HIS birthday; Enjoy Life, It's HIS way."

It was truly wonderous for Harry, and it warmed my heart.

Beautiful lights, trees, gifts, ornaments – it quickly put me in the holiday spirit.

This place makes me happy.  It’s a superstore, but it has character.

It made me so excited to make this Christmas the best ever for Harry.

Take a 360 tour

Much later on

A Tony’s closer to home

ICE CREAM FOR DINNER!!!  This banana split is simply amazing.

We did eat a wonderful chicken salsa soup later on, courtesy of Meghan, to balance out this “healthy” meal.

Next day we saw just a bit of a nature preserve -

Trails closed for the hunt!

Beautiful anyway…

Can I just say the weather was PERFECT?

Lunch was BBQ from “The Magic Kitchen”  It was mouth-watering goodness.  Those of you who don’t explore little “holes in the wall” you need to.  Thanks Adam for the suggestion!  This place is high quality, it’s just the location that made it “interesting”

That was a big nutshell.

It was just SOOOO great to get away, even if just for a couple days.

Wyatt's Blessing Day...continued

Here are some pictures from a while back that David’s dad sent us.  What cute boys!

Imagination

I used to pretend to be asleep when I wanted dad to carry me inside from the car.

This morning I pretended to be asleep just to listen to Harry play by himself in our room (it is very unusual for him to NOT wake me up right when he comes in)

He read from his Nursery Tales book from the library.

He sucked on the bulb syringe and puffed air in his mouth.

He hugged a little stuffed puppy.

He heard Wyatt on the baby monitor and promptly put it in my jelly shoe.  The shoe was a boat.  Then he added a wooden panda and his toothbrush.

All his adventures were complete with “Harry speak”

Ah, childhood.  So innocent, so simple.  It was heaven.

This was on a walk on the Scioto Trail.  I let the boys wear their costumes all day!  Meaning, Harry stayed in his all day and Wyatt couldn’t care less so I took it off after a while because he was getting hot!  Harry loved his costume thank you Old Navy!  It have him a little padding around his skinny little bones.  Thanks to our friends BreAnne and Patrick for loaning us the monkey costume!!  Oh by the way, the birds are cranes.

Prepare yourself for awesomeness:

Our costume:  Awkward Family Photo!  For those of you who aren’t familiar here goes - http://awkwardfamilyphotos.com/  It will definitely give you some good laughs!!  We had a blast shopping at the thrift store for the clothes and Family Dollar for my awesome makeup job.  The kicker?  I left the party for a few minutes to go Visiting Teaching!  Luckily we all are good friends and just laughed.  I seriously looked like I was 10 years old, and Dave had about a pound of gel in his hair!  Thanks to Jordan and Crystal for hosting a seriously fun party.  I think fall and Halloween parties are the BEST!  By the way, look at the size of the knot on Dave’s tie.  That is a seriously thick tie.  That didn’t come from the thrift store I’ll have you know!!

P1000234

I had to put this on because I thought Crystal did a good job with the spread!

Here’s one of us smiling for real.

Wyatt with his Halloween shirt on.  He is the cutest little man ever!  He had just spit up bucketloads – nice, huh?

My pumpkin.  Dave got home late on Halloween, so he didn’t carve one.  I like how my kitty cat turned out!
